Valuelist introduction

The valuelist is a new concept for VFP developers. If you ask me it will turn out to be an important productivity boost for us. Alsmost every application has base-tables, lookup controls, radio-buttons, combo-boxes etc. that need to be filled which you don't want to hard-code into your application. The Valuelist takes care of all this and makes it a breeze to add a key-value from a lookup table into your database without writing code!

There are several ways in which you can use valuelists, from a very simple Male/Female radiobutton to a multi-table lookup scenario that supports internationalization. Let's start simple though and see how we can easily use some hard-coded custom values.
